Synopsis

In this presentation we will be looking at the empty cupboard as a metaphor for the inner emptiness that many leaders experience after they have given their lives so fully to their work that there is little of themselves remaining. The consequences are bad for the leader who is exhausted and has no food with which to replenishment her/himself. But it also bad for those who depend on this leader; they too will be unfed. So serious is this emptiness as a social phenomena, that is could be called a syndrome that besets modern dedicated leaders

Workshop with Jennifer Ferneyhough (2:15pm):  Pushing the Boundaries - Professional Development for senior executives.

The work ethic of the twentieth century will be replaced in this twenty-first century by the learning ethic. This workshop will assist participants to push out their personal and organisational learning boundaries in-order to meet the critical challenges that their organisations are currently facing
